I worked with the General Merchandise team at Grocery Outlet to design a new line of insulated cooler bags for their 500+ stores across the US. The bags were created to provide their shoppers with alternatives to single-use plastic bags. Inspired by Grocery Outlet’s rich history and the treasure hunt shopping experience, I crafted 7 playful, bold concepts. These bags will be available at all Grocery Outlet stores beginning in Spring 2025.
Titled Celebrate Asian Joy, this mural was created in partnership with 333Arts as a way to bring color, pride, and warmth back to the graffitied wall of Cam Huong Bakery in Oakland Chinatown. Inspired by Chinese porcelain, tangerines, and leafy vines, the design honors cultural symbolism and everyday beauty. Painted in 2021 during the height of the Stop Asian Hate movement, it was my way of offering something hopeful and affirming to a neighborhood that means a lot to me.
The wall measures approximately 8 ft x 8 ft — a total of 64 sq ft.

At Grocery Outlet, I designed engaging and effective circular ads that showcased unbeatable deals and drove customer engagement. I balanced creativity with strategy to create layouts that highlighted key promotions while maintaining brand consistency. I partnered closely with the Marketing, Purchasing, and Planning teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of ads to over 500 stores nationwide. With a focus on detail and fast-paced deadlines, I ensure each ad aligns with Grocery Outlet’s mission to Touch Lives for the Better.
These are my favorite ads that I’ve built over the years!
For the 33rd Oakland Chinatown StreetFest, I was one of four artists commissioned to interpret “Why I ♡ Oakland Chinatown” in our own styles. Sponsored by Cricket Wireless, Wa Sung, and OCCC, the project turned into a heartfelt community moment. I painted my signature monoline lettering alongside a green heart (a nod to Cricket’s branding), and throughout the day, people of all ages stopped by to write memories, stories, and love notes to the neighborhood. What started as a simple prompt became a living, growing archive of joy—and I feel lucky to have helped make that happen.
The portable walls measured 8 ft x 8 ft — a total of 64 sq ft.
Grocery Outlet approached me to install a mural for their 14th Annual Independence from Hunger campaign to combat food insecurity. The aim was to build continuous excitement and to keep momentum going for the fundraising goal of $4,500,000 for their local communities. The end result was a temporary 15’x12’ chalk mural of the Independence from Hunger logo at the Emeryville, CA corporate office for a special event.
Special thanks to the Grocery Outlet Marketing team for coming out to assist in the mural installation!
Following their recent remodel, Wawa Thai Food sought my expertise to revitalize their menu design. Drawing inspiration from the nuanced illustration style and color palette of the revamped interior mural, I meticulously crafted three bespoke menus. Each design serves as a sophisticated and cohesive visual extension of their brand, seamlessly highlighting the expansive array of traditional Thai culinary offerings.

I had the privilege of undertaking a commission from Passion Planner to illustrate four distinct sticker sheets destined for inclusion in their upcoming 4 Seasons Sticker Book. Meticulously crafting a unique sticker sheet for each season, I infused bespoke lettering and art tailored to encapsulate the essence of each time of the year. This project not only demanded artistic precision but also ensuring a cohesive and visually compelling contribution to Passion Planner's product line. The end products were physical and digital sticker books, catered to the different styles of journalers/planners.

I co-led this 8’x16’ mural for Creative Concord in the summer of 2022, located at The Veranda Shopping Center. Designed to welcome people to the city, the mural features hidden musical elements as a nod to Concord’s jazz roots. Alongside my co-lead, I guided a team of first-time volunteers through the installation with a color-by-shape approach that made painting accessible and fun. The energy was high all weekend, and support from nearby businesses made the experience even more special.
The portable wall measured 8 ft x 16 ft — a total of 128 sq ft.

Elma Grocery Outlet reached out to me to create stickers for their Grand Opening event in July 2024, located in Elma, WA. The stickers captured unique elements of Washington while staying on brand. Together, we designed 6 stickers arranged on a sheet that was handed out to shoppers on their Grand Opening day.
